Creatine Effect Monohydrate Side

There has been a great deal of controversy concerning creatine effect monohydrate side effects. Do they exist? Are the problems that many associate with creatine actually caused by creatine? There are those that claim that Creatine effect monohydrate side effects include muscle cramping, liver problems, and kidney problems. There have even been rumors that creatine has an impact on blood pressure.

Fortunately for the bodybuilding community, none of that is true. There was a three year study conducted concerning the claim that creatine caused muscle cramping, muscle spasms, and pulled muscles. During this three year study, with American football players as subjects, it was found that none of these claims are substantiated, but all of the positives concerning the use of creatine were again proven.

A separate four year study was done on the same topic, at around the same time, with 26 athletes as subjects, and again, the results were the same. Creatine plays no role in muscle cramping, spasms, or pulled muscles. The most recent study was reported on in 2004, in the International Journal of Sports Medicine, with the same results. That report also indicated that any side effects related to creatine are rare, but also stated that those side effects are commonly diarrhea and nausea.

Claims that the prolonged use of creatine damages that liver and kidneys were also dis-proven through long-term research. What research has found, however, is that it is important to drink plenty of water – especially if you are using a creatine supplement. First, failure to stay hydrated results in muscle cramps, but in relation to creatine, undisolved creatine does cause abdominal discomfort and pain.

So far, there have been numerous studies in varying lengths, including five day studies, nine week studies, twelve week studies, three year studies, and five year studies with the use of creatine supplements. The results of each and every one of those studies has found nothing that contributes the use of creatine to muscle cramping, muscle spasms, pulled muscles, decreased or damaged liver function, decreased, increased, or damaged kidney function, or even ill effects on blood pressure. In fact, of all of the studies done only three people have had adverse side effects, which included diarrhea and nausea.

This doesn’t mean that isolated incidents of side effects have not taken place outside of those studies, however those instances are so few, and so rare, that there is no documentation concerning them, other than word-of- mouth reports. As such, to avoid creatine effect monohydrate side effects, most experts, scientists, and physicians advise anyone with pre-existing liver or kidney problems to avoid the use of creatine supplements. What this means for you is that you really don’t have to worry about creatine effects monohydrate side effects at all, and you can go on and enjoy the numerous benefits of this safe and highly effective bodybuilding supplement.
